Big Fire at City Walk

ABC Central Florida 2020 Eagle Award Recipient. In this 500-seat venue, the creativity of this structural solution is displayed in plain site through its exterior and interior exposed structural elements and use of framing as theming elements. The structure’s cantilever entry and continuous curtainwall and clerestories were achieved through creative use of bracing and moment-resisting elements. The lateral system was creatively reconfigured to allow for an open atrium-like dining experience with cantilever booth seating overlooking the main level below. The design also allowed the preservation of existing greenery, which was critical to the design of the new courtyard and fire pit area.
