ALMERIC FEDERAL COURTHOUSE HURRICANE RECOVERY
Christiansted, VI

SEP is providing structural solutions, construction engineering, and blast consulting for the existing 3-story structure as part of a U.S. Virgin Island Hurricane Recovery funded by FEMA.  The existing federal building, managed by the General Services Administration, suffered damage as a result of recent storm events and required structural retrofit for wind as well as structure to support new back-up systems.  In addition, the fenestration around the envelope was replaced and SEP is performing blast consulting and seismic detailing to engineer retrofits of the envelope at window locations in order to comply with the physical security and force protection for the project.
